Poggio Piglia is located near Chiusi in Tuscany and it is easily reachable from Rome, Florence and Pisa.
The 150 year old estate with 19 hectares of woods, olive trees and vineyards invites the guests to immerse themselves in the magical atmosphere of the Tuscan countryside reinterpreted with a touch of modernity thanks to the contribution of a team of architects working for major companies such as Norman Foster and Richard Rogers. Poggio Piglia offers nine spacious suites which are elegantly furnished with luxurious bathrooms and panoramic views. All the rooms are beautifully decorated and combine traditional ceilings with wooden beams, oak floors and modem design. The bathrooms are spacious and conceived as a living space with travertine, large showers and jacuzzi with chromotherapy.
The restaurant is a modem structure of glass and steel with an ample terrace and an amazing view of the estate and of its infinity pool.

Superior Deluxe
The Superior Deluxe are the biggest rooms with scenic views. If the idea of bubbling away pleasantly in a Jacuzzi bath tub while surveying Tuscan hills takes your fancy, this room-type is for you. Like the hotel’s other sleeping quarters, wooden-beamed ceilings, parquet floors and spacious bathrooms are the key features. All the superior deluxe have a queen size bed and a sofa bed. Independent Villa
The Independent Villa is unique for intimacy and romaticism. A stone’s stroll away from the Casale, it is surrounded by the secular olive trees and enjoys a fabulous panoramic including the typical Tuscan hills and the lake of Chiusi. The chich country design of the room combines rural atmosphere with modern design. The indipendent villa has autonomous air-conditioning, 26 “LCD television with Satellite TV and mini bar.

The intimate restaurant is open every day at lunch and dinner welcoming both guests and external clients. The Chef Giorgo Cabella has an international experience and has been working with very original and successful Chefs. His cuisine is a blend of creativity and passion and is inspired by both Tuscan and Italian culinary traditions. The restaurant employs the products of our Region with ability and passion, creating dishes with Tuscany’s world famous cured meats, local cheeses, and the vegetables and aromatic herbs grown in the organic kitchen garden.

Cooking classes

The cooking classes are a journey into the true essence of Tuscan and Italian cuisine, highlighting the finest dishes and freshest ingredients from the orchard and the region. Guests are taught by our Chef how to recreate dishes prepared at Poggio Pigla in their own home. The programs offered are short classes followed by dinner and guests can choose to focus on local specialties or dishes from the Italian tradition.

The flavours of Tuscany can also be purchased as gifts (the oil and the Sangiovese wine) – the perfect Poggio Piglia mementoes to take home with you. Wines originating from some of Italy's most important wine areas are well represented in the Restaurant and Bar: Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti, Vino Nobile di Montepulciano and, of course, the “Super Tuscans”. The taste of these legendary wines might persuade you to visit the wineries where they were produced.
