The apartment is located in the historic Oltrarno district. 'Oltrarno' means 'beyond the Arno' and this area extends along the south bank of the river. The Oltrarno represents the true essence of Florence: a quiet, green area and therefore more relaxing than the others. The area is known as the craft district, famous for its shops, small shops and artisans' studios. Among the most famous points of interest are Palazzo Pitti, the Brancacci Chapel, Piazzale Michelangelo, the Church of San Miniato and the Ponte Vecchio.
