MASSERIA ML 1492

Masseria ML 1492 is located in Lizzanello, nestled in a special natural setting, immersed in the silence and nature of Salento. The Masseria is located in the center of Salento, 5 km from Lecce, 6 km from the Acaya Golf Club golf course and 10 km from the sea. From the Masseria's terraces, beyond the countryside, you can see the bell tower of Lecce Cathedral and the Cesine protected area.

The Masseria encompasses a vast agricultural area a few kilometers from Lecce, characterized by olive groves, vineyards and a variety of fruit trees such as figs, walnuts, almonds, strawberry trees, pear trees, mulberry trees, apricot trees and citrus trees, as well as an oak forest and Mediterranean scrub that grows everywhere.
The Masseria rises among the country lanes in the center of the village and stands out, with its Renaissance temple, among olive groves, vineyards and Mediterranean scrub, among farmhouses and pagghiare. The structure, dating back to the 15th-16th centuries, expanded in later periods until the early 1800s; it consists of an old part of a fortified masseria with a quadrangular tower, while the other rooms built over time reveal the architectural features of each period.

The Masseria consists of twelve rooms overlooking the courtyard, differing in age and type of construction: the star vaults, pavilion vaults, crossed arches and ceilings made of wood and terracotta tiles.
In the vineyard a cottage with two other rooms overlooking the forest and olive grove. Specifically, there are 9 rooms with king-size double beds; 1 twin room with separate beds; 2 Family Suites that can each accommodate family units of 4 people (2 adults + 2 children ages 3-11). The 2 Suites both have 2 bathrooms.
2 SUPERIOR MATRIMONIAL BEDROOMS: located on the ground floor, they are made of Lecce stone, one with a star vault and the other with a wooden roof made of terracotta tiles of about 35m2.
3 DELUXE BEDROOMS: located on the ground floor, they are made of Lecce stone with star vaulting, have a size of about 40m2 and overlook the inner courtyard of the Masseria.
2 JUNIOR SUITE: located on the ground floor, they are made of leccese stone with a star vault, have a size of about 55sqm and overlook the internal courtyard of the Masseria.
1 SUITE: has a size of about 60m2 and overlooks the internal courtyard of the Masseria. The room consists of two communicating rooms made of carparo, characterized by a typical architecture with a pavilion vault dating back to the late 17th century, traditional cocciopesto floor and a large fireplace. The room is equipped with closets and two bathrooms, created in rooms formerly used to store agricultural commodities.
1 JUNIOR SUITE SUPERIOR: located on the ground floor, it is about 70 square meters in size and overlooks the internal courtyard of the Masseria. The room, with live stone masonry and vaulted ceilings, has a striking reinforcement with opposing arches. Its exposed cistern and fireplace tell the oldest story of the Masseria dating back to the late 15th century. It has a king-size double bed, closet compartments and comfortable bathroom with bathtub and shower equipped with cervical blade and chromotherapy.
1 MASTER SUITE: it is an apartment located on the second floor with a size of about 95m2. Consisting of three rooms reached by the historic staircase, it overlooks the courtyard of the Masseria and the entire surrounding countryside until reaching, with the view from the two terraces for exclusive use, even the historic center of Lecce. In the apartment there are two walk-in closets and two bathrooms, one of which has a separate chromotherapy shower.
1 MASTER SUITE FIENILE: Located outside the courtyard of the Masseria in a historic cottage that stands in front of the main building, next to the vineyard. The furnishings are essential and typical, within traditional Lecce stone architecture with vaulted ceilings. The cottage consists of two rooms separated by a living room with a large fireplace, which faces a garden for exclusive use. In one of the two rooms there is a king-size double bed, while in the other there are 2 French beds. Each room is about 43 m2 in size.
