It was the Gonzaga family who designed the skyline of the historic centre, stunning even for Mozart. A world out of time, Palazzo Te just outside the city is the leisurely villa designed by the great architect Giulio Romano. In the city, a visit to Piazza Erbe with its market, Palazzo della Ragione, the Clock Tower with its lunar cycles and the Museum of Time is a must. A journey to be enjoyed by bicycle, from the Peschiera cycle path to the track running along the winding bends of the Mincio, among morainic hills, woods, enchanted villages and wetlands, in a landscape that inspires serenity.
