BORGO SAN PIETRO AQUAEORTUS

Borgo San Pietro Aqua & Ortus is an ancient medieval village recently restored. The complex is located on the high hillside slopes of the Selva di Meana Park. Through the avenue flanked by cypress trees you reach the gate where suddenly you feel projected into another era. The stones, the columns, the arches, the roofs, the bell tower, the stream lead us into an atmosphere of dream and spectacle. The village is surrounded by precious natural elements such as a stream of spring water that runs along the boundaries of the village, endless forests with trees and flowers of wild beauty, such as the orchid of Monte Rufeno, rare and protected flower, typical only of these areas, visible in spring at the rebirth of the landscape.

The Borgo consists of 24 units with all modern comforts (wi-fi internet, satellite antenna, flat screen TV) with 31 bedrooms.
The structure has a restaurant and a meeting room located inside the medieval church.
There is also an outdoor swimming pool equipped with a station where water comes out from stone jets for natural hydromassage, the internal wellness center with a small seawater pool for thalassotherapy, the equipped gym and the wine bar with outdoor garden.
The large internal square of the village is the ideal space to organize exhibitions, concerts, vernissages, cocktails and exhibitions. The outdoor spaces, designed by a landscape architect, are "furnished" with plants, flowers and fruit trees typical of the Umbrian countryside. Nature trails have been designed with rest areas equipped with wooden seating for relaxation, conversation and recreation in direct contact with nature.
The restaurant San Pietro Aqua & Ortus was created in what was once the Church of the Borgo, of which it still maintains its original structure. Entering the hall, from the great main portal, the original entrance of the Church, one immediately has the sensation of access to a place that was sacred. In respect of what was, we tried to keep the rooms, now dedicated to the restaurant, elegant and sober.
Old or forgotten recipes in the context of an elegant and sober environment, with the idea of faithfully reproducing in the dishes the atmosphere of meals consumed in the traditional Italian houses with a view to a return to the simplicity and sacredness of the food prepared by our grandmothers and mothers.
The SPA of San Pietro Aqua & Ortus enhances the elements of simplicity such as water and heat, bringing back the physical and spiritual relationship between man and the water and its healing virtues at the center of a rebalancing process. The SPA includes a large relaxation room with a chaise lounge, a massage room, a sauna, an indoor travertine pool and a gym.
At San Pietro, secluded corners of the garden are ideal for yoga classes, for meditative or soft activities, which can also be practiced in the internal areas dedicated to the SPA. Here, in a room with large windows overlooking the pool and the garden, you can find peace and quiet simply by relaxing after a bath or a massage in the SPA or by joining a session of yoga or meditation.

Apartment il Frantoio (60 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). The Frantoio apartment is located on the ground floor and consists of a spacious living room with a view of the forest, table, sofa bed, armchair and desk, separate kitchenette with fridge (with freezer) and electric hob, a double bedroom with French window access directly outside and bathroom with shower immediately adjacent. The apartment has a table and chairs outside and mosquito nets.
Il Torchio Apartment (52 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). The Torchio apartment is spread over two floors (ground floor and first floor) and consists of the living room on the ground floor overlooking the Piazza del Borgo, table, sofa bed, armchair and kitchenette with electric and fridge (with freezer). The double bedroom, on the first floor, overlooks the square; immediately adjacent to the bathroom with a large shower. The apartment has a table and chairs outside and mosquito nets.
Il Cellaio Apartment (60 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). The Cellaio apartment is on two floors (ground floor and first floor with stone staircase access). The living room, with kitchenette (electric piano and fridge with freezer), is occupied by the sofa bed, table and armchair. The double bedroom, bright and spacious, is located on the first floor and has a view of the square; next to the room the bathroom with a shower. The apartment has a table and chairs outside and mosquito nets.
The House of Perpetua (56 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). The Casa della Perpetua is a charming apartment which is accessed via a stone staircase leading to the terrace with a three-columned loggia, from here you can directly access the living room. The living room is equipped with a table, a large leather sofa bed, a small desk and a kitchenette (electric piano and fridge with freezer). From the living room, through three small steps you have access to the master bedroom and to the adjacent shower room. The terrace is furnished with outdoor table and chairs.
La Torre Romana (56 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). The apartment is located on the ground floor of the Torre Romana, which was the original discovery of the Roman era around which the monastery was built and then the village. The living room is divided into two areas by two large stone arches: the kitchenette (electric hob and fridge with freezer) and the living area, with table, armchair, desk and sofa bed. The double bedroom, through a French door, accesses the beautiful private loggia, furnished with a table and chairs where you can enjoy an open view of the square. Immediately adjacent to the bathroom with a shower.
Chiara apartment (45 sqm - 2 + 1 beds). The Chiara apartment is spread over two floors that overlook the square. The living area with table, sofa, armchair and small desk is cozy and intimate, with a kitchenette (with electric plate and fridge with freezer) inserted in order to make the space convivial. Through stone stairs leads to the master bedroom, next to which there is a bathroom with shower (access to the shower with two steps). The apartment has a table and chairs outside and mosquito nets.
Francesco Apartment (52 sqm - 2 + 1 beds). The Francesco apartment is spread over two floors that overlook the square. The living room, with table and sofa, is cozy and equipped with a kitchenette with electric and fridge (with freezer). Through a stone staircase you get to the double bedroom with bathroom with shower (access to the shower with two steps). The apartment has a table and chairs outside and mosquito nets.
Bernini apartment (53 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). The Bernini apartment is located inside the main body of the village, on the third floor of the building. The living area, very bright, is equipped with a corner sofa, a table with 4 chairs. The kitchenette (with electric hob and fridge with freezer) is immediately adjacent to the living room. The double bedroom overlooks the square. The bathroom with a shower is immediately next to the room.
La Torretta Apartment (53 sqm - 2 + 1 beds). La Torretta is on two floors (ground floor and first floor). Through a small stone loggia you enter the living room with a French door and a balcony. The kitchenette (with electric plate and fridge with freezer) is separated from the rest of the living area. Through a stone staircase you get to the double bedroom with covered terrace and bathroom with shower.
Apartment Caravaggio (65 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). Caravaggio is located inside the main body of the village, just in front of the reception. Entering on the right is the sleeping area with the master bedroom and the bathroom with shower that overlook the square. Then you get to the living area with a corner sofa bed, a small desk and a wardrobe, which leads to a large terrace furnished with a table and chairs. The kitchenette (with electric hob and fridge with freezer) remains separate from the living area and has a comfortable table for 4 people.
Il Forno Apartment (62 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). Il Forno is a lovely ground floor apartment with a beautiful private terrace whose loggia allows you to relax and enjoy the view of the woods and the Borgo park. In the living area with table and sofa bed is accessed by two steps; the kitchenette (with electric hob and fridge with freezer) is separated from the rest of the living area. The sleeping area, immediately adjacent, has a double bedroom with high ceilings and exposed beams, next to it is the bathroom with a shower. The apartment has a table and chairs outside and mosquito nets.
Borromini Apartment (75 sqm - 4 + 2 sleeps). Borromini is located inside the main body of the village, on the first floor. Entering, on the right, we find the sleeping area with two double bedrooms, bright and spacious and the bathroom with shower that overlook the square. The living area overlooks a large terrace, one of which is protected by a loggia furnished with a table and 4 chairs and an open part has deckchairs. The living room has a corner sofa bed and a table, the kitchenette (with electric hob and fridge with freezer) remains separate from the living area.
La Scuderia (60 square meters - 4 + 2 beds). La Scuderia is a ground floor apartment ideal for a family. It has two double bedrooms, one with access to a terrace with pergola, furnished with table and chairs and from which you can reach the lawn below. The living area, with sofa bed, has a kitchenette (electric hob and fridge) included in the same space, and is separated from the sleeping area, which is accessed by a small corridor. The apartment has a bathroom with a shower.
La Formaggera I apartment (45 sqm - 2 + 2 beds). La Formaggera I is a ground-floor apartment which has a small passage terrace that leads directly to the garden. Here, a table with chairs is available to guests. The living area, with sofa bed, has a kitchenette (with gas burners and a small fridge with freezer) included in the same space and from this you access a small corridor to the sleeping area and the bathroom. The double bedroom enjoys the view as far as the eye can see mountains and woods. The apartment has a bathroom with a shower.
La Formaggera II apartment (45 sqm - 2 + 1 beds). La Formaggera II is a characteristic apartment on the first floor which is accessed via a stone staircase and a loggia, furnished with chairs. The living area, equipped with table, sofa and armchair, has a kitchenette (with gas burners, fridge and oven) included in the same space and from this there is a small corridor leading to the sleeping area. The double bedroom enjoys views towards the mountains and woods and has a bathroom with shower. The apartment has a table and chairs outside and mosquito nets.
Valadier apartment (76 sqm - 4 + 2 beds). Valadier is located inside the main body of the village, on the second floor of the building. Accessing the apartment you are immediately in the living room: two large French doors let in light and glimpse views. The two balconies that overlook the village square, give the view endless landscapes. The kitchenette (with fridge and electric hob) is included in the living area, equipped with a corner sofa bed and a table. The living room leads to the third floor through a beautiful stone staircase, at the end of which there are two double bedrooms, each with its own en-suite bathroom with shower.
Il Granaio Apartment (52 sqm - 2 + 1 beds). The Granary is the first of the apartments on the outside of the village and enjoys greater privacy because it overlooks the back of the structure and looks towards the surrounding woods. The apartment is accessed by climbing some stone steps and from here you enter the spacious and bright living area, with a corner sofa and a table, including the kitchenette (with fridge and electric hob). The double bedroom, spacious, overlooks the inner side of the village and just next door has a bathroom with a shower.
La Casa del Prete apartment (65 sqm - 4 + 1 beds). The Casa del Prete was really the home of the priest of the village; it is located on the outer side of the structure, connected to what was once the Church, currently transformed into a restaurant. It is accessed after a series of external stone steps, at the end of which you come into the living room with a sofa and table and a small kitchenette that still has an antique sink belonging to the original house, as well as an electric hob and fridge with freezer. A staircase leads to the second floor where there are two large double bedrooms, one of which benefits from a breathtaking view thanks to a small balcony overlooking the side of the village square. The bathroom with shower, which serves both rooms, is preceded by a small collection area furnished with a desk.
Lo Spaccio I Apartment (50 sqm - 2 + 1 beds). The Spaccio I, which was the small shop in the village, benefits from a large private terrace on the ground floor, of which one part develops under a loggia furnished with table and chairs and an open part, equipped with deckchairs. The Spaccio, ideal for a couple, has an intimate living area with sofa, table, armchair and includes a kitchenette (with fridge and electric hob). Complete the apartment and are adjacent to the living area, the master bedroom and bathroom with shower.
Apartment Lo Spaccio II (53 sqm - 2 + 1 bed). The Spaccio II, which is a mirror image of the Spaccio I apartment, is also part of what was once the village's shop. It is located just above Spaccio I.
The Spaccio II, has an intimate living area with sofa, table and armchair and includes a kitchenette (with fridge and electric hob). The double bedroom and the bathroom with shower are adjacent to the living area; you enter the living area by accessing directly from the loggia, whose space is furnished with table and chairs.
Prima Elementare Apartment (100 sqm - 6 + 1 beds). The First Elementary Apartment is located in the building that was the village school. It is a building separated from the main structure of the village. This beautiful stone building, carefully restored, has the most secluded position compared to everything else and houses three elegant apartments. You access the living room of the house directly from the ground floor and here develops the living area, with sofa and table, adjacent to which is a first double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower. The kitchenette in the living area is equipped with a fridge and an electric hob. Climbing a staircase leads to the first floor, where there are two spacious double bedrooms, each with its own adjoining bathroom with shower. One of the two rooms has access to a well-kept garden belonging to the totally private apartment.
Seconda Elementare Apartment (72 sqm - 4 + 1 beds). The Second Elementary Apartment is located in the building that was the village school. This is a building that is separate from the main structure of the village. This beautiful stone building, carefully restored, has the most secluded position compared to everything else and houses three elegant apartments. You access the living room of the house by climbing some steps; the living area, with sofa and table, opens onto a wonderful terrace that runs along most of the apartment and is also equipped with a kitchenette (with fridge and electric hob). The two double bedrooms each have their own bathroom with shower. One of the two rooms has access to a loggia of relevance furnished with table and chairs.
Terza Elementare Apartment (72 sqm - 4 + 1 bed). The Terza Elementare Apartment is located in the building that was the village school. It is a building separated from the main structure of the village. This beautiful stone building, carefully restored, has the most secluded position compared to everything else and houses three elegant apartments. You access the living room of the house by climbing some stone steps, in the back area of the building; the living area, with sofa, table and kitchenette, has the benefit of a very special room: an outdoor, covered loggia, inside the house where you can eat or simply relax. The two double bedrooms share a bathroom with a shower. One is more intimate and the other more spacious, both have an open view of the surrounding woods.
La Casetta (80 sqm - 4 beds). La Casetta is a farmhouse slightly outside the main body of the village which is divided into a living room, a kitchen and 2 bedrooms with double bedrooms with bathroom with shower. The farmhouse has a private garden with a barbecue and a wood-burning oven.
